To the people who get attached too easily...

Post Body

You've probably told yourself a thousand times that you aren't going to get so attached so soon. The next time you meet someone, you are going to hold yourself together, but every damn time you end up getting attached to people, more quickly that you should.

And you're the one who is left behind with all the hurt and regret, in the end. This is for you; this is to stop you from caring too much; from caring too much about people too quickly. Build walls around that fragile heart of yours. Take yourself seriously.

Keep a count of how much love you are giving away. In the end, you know, you will end up giving away so much love that you won't have anything left for yourself. Learn to love yourself, first.

People are good at taking things for granted and keeping calculations of all the love and care. Nothing's wrong with you, you're too good for all the chaos, maybe. A person like you shouldn't feel sad, hurt or left out. A person who gets attached quickly, cares a lot too.

And if people cannot understand your worth, you should.

Be your biggest fan, and keep your friends close. Give all your love to people who actually care and don't waste it on someone who doesn't feel the same way.

Set your boundaries, and don't let everyone in. Your heart is too precious to be broken so many times. It is too sacred to be opened by just about anyone. It's not selfish, it's necessary.

Because the sad truth is, people only know your worth when you value yourself.
