Our kitchen just set on fire. Anyone else had a bad day?
Post Body

As of a few hours ago, we had a house fire. Oil fire in a pan, so couldn't just throw water on it. Luckily we had people from the local electricity transporter fixing something and they had an extinguisher on board. Huge thanks go to those guys as the damage was already quite bad and they had it out within 2 minutes.

The cooker hood is totalled. The cupboards nearby are damaged too. The hob and oven may or may not be. Minor things like the kettle, toaster, etc have come down with a slight case of being melted. The tiles, wallpaper and ceiling may need repair also.

We'll be ordering a fire blanket and extinguisher soon.

Anyone else had a bad day?
