So I've been on a road trip these past 2 weeks and passed through the grand Canyon yesterday. While entering the national park we were stopped at the entrance to pay for a pass. He asked where we were from and when we said new York he mentioned that he was originally from NJ. We asked him what brought him out here and he started his story with how he was originally a broker on wall street out of college. He made good money for a while but ended up leaving because the stress was too much for him. He took up driving trains for the long Island railroad for a few years and went on vacation to the grand Canyon and decided it was a good time for a job switch and he became a park ranger and that was his story he mentioned that there was more but I didn't want to hold up the cars behind us so we said our goodbyes and we went on our way. Anyone else encounter unique individuals on your travels?
