Yourself or on others. I had one done on me. I emailed my boss to let her know to give me a vacation for the day. I wanted to sleep in since I barely slept through the night.

Now normally I wait for her to respond back before I go back to sleep. Well I got tired of waiting. I fell back to sleep. Only to be awoken by maintenance standing at my apt door yelling in.

Welfare check! Anybody home!?

I jumped out of bed and asked... What!?

You're employer called and wanted us to do a welfare check on you. They said it's very unusual for you to do a no call no show.

Which is true. In fact I have a friend of mine at work that I told. If I ever do a no call no show. Then something is definitely wrong. Cause I live alone and all.

I told the maintenance guy. No call no show? I sent her an email. Maybe she didn't get it.

I tell the maintenance guy I'm fine and thanks for checking on me and I'll let my employer know it was all a misunderstanding.

I call work and find out their computers were down when I sent my email and my boss never got it. After that, I always call in now and just leave a voice mail.
