I just watched the UAP government hearing today and it was absolutely mind blowing. To me it seems extremely unlikely there isnt alien life on our planet rn.
Did you watch it? Whats your opinion
I wouldn't think they're stupid or crazy -- I'd think they're wrong.
Massive difference.
Science is the art of asking questions, not a set canon of irrevocably true teachings.
Intelligence is the ability to infer conclusions from sets of data, not automatically true insight into the nature of reality.
Sanity is perceiving an adaptive picture of reality and the ability to adjust to new information in an adaptive way, not agreeing with mainline public opinion.
So no. Absolutely not.
As for what UAPs are, I would assume it's one of us. As in. One of the 200-ish nations currently in existence on the planet. There is a lot of things we don't know and a lot of things most people don't even know we don't know. The nature of gravity or the origin of life are two major mysteries that laypersons tend to think have been solved but which fractally increase in complexity the more they're being investigated.
By the same token it's far from impossible to think that there are means of propulsion that have not been released to the general public. After all, the last conflict between peer states was 80 years ago. Plenty of things can happen in that time. Hell, the term "computer" wasn't even primarily reserved for a person yet at that point.
Remember. The least conspiratorial interpretation of 9/11 is still this: "All the various government agencies didn't talk to each other over paranoia and ego".
When you have this level of communications breakdown WITH MEMBERS OF THE SAME COMMUNITY WHICH LITERALLY JUST AMOUNTED TO "Hey, bunch of shady people with knives are trying to hijack a plane" how little do you think a completely unheard-of way to fly would be shared?

Not all advancement is linear. Sometimes you need just a little mental shimmy to the right and upward to land in a completely different area of scientific and technological thinking. See: Germ theory.
Maybe manipulation of mass is as easy as pulsing two overlapping magnetic fields in a specific frequency the way several people have theorized.
We just don't know. But it's vastly likelier than an ultra advanced race needing to operate in our atmosphere for observation missions. Even our own air vehicles defacto don't operate on line of sight anymore.
