What's everyone's tolerance for long car drives?

Post Body

I'm from the states (East Coast) and personally I hate hate hate driving. Which sucks because a lot of my friends and family are hours away. I feel like sometimes I don't do everything I want to do because the "drive several hours to get there" gets in my way. But it's just a mix of anxiety and uncomfortableness that makes me so reluctant to drive long trips by myself.

I can do max 2 hours for a day trip, honestly 1.5 is when I start getting antsy. How about everyone else. Where are you from and what's you tolerance for driving time

I've done multiple drives starting and ending in Houston to the following destinations; Rochester (mn), Chicago, Minneapolis, Atlanta, tucumcari, roswell, and Los Angeles. Most of those solo and minimal stops.

The biggest thing is to get a couple of audio books, and if you're facing remote areas, downloaded music. I also mentally replay movie scenes from memory.

I'm preparing for a semi-annual trip from Houston to California, while not solo, it'll be doing it with 4 stops with 2 dogs and 4 other people.

God help me.
