I feel like a lot of people complain about how schools didn’t prepare us for real-life adult responsibilities like doing taxes, budgeting, or even understanding how to properly rent an apartment. Imagine if those life skills were part of the standard curriculum—would it have made a difference for you?
Do you think you would have been more engaged if school taught practical things like financial literacy, cooking, or even basic home repairs? Or do you think students would still tune out like they do with conventional subjects?
Probably not.
