How often do you learn about your field or industry when you are not on the clock?

I am younger in an industry where everyone has years of experience. One of the higher ups seems to have time to keep learning outside of work hours. I can barely balance working and my normal daily tasks for when I get home. I would love others insight on how they balance it all.
