I think if you never accept an invite to hang out, you shouldn't complain if you stop being invited

Basically title. I see a lot of people on here and irl say something along the lines of "of course I'm gonna say no, but I still want to be invited!" In my opinion that's not how friendship works. You have to try to make an effort to spend time with someone if you want to remain close. If you've turned down the last 5-6 invites, don't be surprised if you grow apart and get fewer invites.
