My landlady is an angel.

I have been wanting to talk about this for the past week but I don't want to bother my friends so I figured, I'd tell you.

I moved into this property about 5 years ago, when we got an eviction notice from our previous place.

We never had any problems here, because our landlady fixed and took care of everything, whenever something needed to be done she'd have it done within a few days. She also keeps bringing us fresh produce from her farm. Anyway, back to the point:

So around 2 weeks ago, I got a text message from her saying "I'd like to talk to you and your parents. Can I pop in for a bit?".

Immediately alarm bells went off - we all thought she'd be evicting us. I agreed to see her.

When she came over she asked me if this house met my needs.

You see, I am very disabled and I often cannot stand for long or walk. My carers/parents have to help me with the simplest tasks.

I said that it is what it is. She then said that they had a bungalow property that has a bathtub which might suit my needs better.

This sounded amazing so we went to view it. We loved it, HOWEVER, the rent was wayyyyyy out of our budget so I thanked her and said that I cannot really afford it.

She said OK.

Then a week later, she comes over and says she has good news for us. She said she managed to lower the rent to lower than what we pay now.

All of us were, and are, still shocked. We never had good experiences with land owners, until we met her. She's a genuine angel and I appreciate her so much.

Do you have any suggestions for a "Thank you" gift?
