"SOS" Beef seems $$$?
Post Body

This group likely knows: I went shopping for chipped beef to make a meal that children of Army veterans know well. It now seems priced like a luxury product -- unit pricing around $18/lb. Am I looking for the wrong stuff -- Hormel, Armour, Buddig came to mind and on shelf in various names -- and that was the pricing? Haven't made it in 30 years, but I think it was not proportionally near that pricing. Did it become hot for some other reason, like skirt steak following the fajita trend?
