Is anyone else being shown an incorrect fee for instant cash out?
I did an instant cashed out for some money that was sent to me and got told a fee that would have been 1% of the amount which is what I figured and hit continue. I was Instead charged a fee that equaled 1.75%. Which after looking at their support page I do see is the max of their variable fee rate. But it was definitely not what I was told I would be charged.
I don't mind the fee itself, be it 1% or 1.75%. Though I might have chosen to just wait at the slightly higher fee. Which is the point, really. It wasn't informed consent on what I would be charged. The incorrect information is unacceptable to me.
I even decided to check on another, smaller, amount, to double check what I was being told. The amount it said I would be charged also worked out to be 1% of the amount. The wording is pretty clear too, no vagueness. Just the fee I would be charged to instant cash out.
However, I didn't cash out that smaller amount because I don't trust that it is correct now. And I know I can't trust it because the same support page that I found that 1.75% is the max fee it also says the minimum fee is $0.25. but on the cash out page for the smaller amount i was being qouted a fee less then that. So if the support page is correct, the quoted fee can't be correct no matter what percent it should be charging. Once again, just to be clear, the actual fee is mostly irrelevant, it is that fact I can't make an informed choice on accepting the fee, no matter what it is, if I'm being told incorrect information.
I've contacted support already to see what they have to say about the incorrect information but figured I would see if others are having the same issue and/or inform others to watch out for incorrect fees being quoted before you agree to instant cash out.
