BE-FUCKING-WARE of CASHAPP

Someone sent me money (not crypto - straight USD) using my e-mail address on an account I had not used in a long time. It was gone from his account the same day and transferred to CashApp. I got an e-mail from CashApp stating I had received money, and when I go to login, and it prompts me for the card number attached to the account. Since I haven't used the account in a few years, the expired card that would have been attached is LONG gone. So I can't login.

I contact support, and they tell me to create a new account and let them know the details, and they would move the $ over.

- THAT WAS ONE MONTH AGO -

I have detailed records of every interaction, and I am no closer to recovering the money sent to me. So the SENDER doesn't have it, and the RECIPIENT doesn't either. CashApp phone support says "they are working on it, please wait another 24-48 hours" EVERY time I call. E-mail messages are not responded to. There is no other method to contact support, so I'm dead in the water without any hope to recover the money sent.
