Hi everyone,
I listened to this episode the other day and I couldn’t help feeling bad for the killer in this case, Caroline Reed Robertson in some ways. (Please do not think I am in any way saying Rachel deserved any of what happened to her, or that I think Caroline should not face consequences for her actions. None of that should have happened)
In the episode, they go into detail of how she was bullied and tormented terribly. I can’t help wondering if she had better support through that, she might not have gone through with such a heinous crime. I can empathize with being bullied to the point of breaking, though my trauma never caused me to think to hurt others; though I did feel a great deal of self-loathing and low self esteem as a result.
What do you think? Have you guys ever felt some sympathy for the “bad guy” in any of these episodes?
