help with my cart

i don’t know much abt carts. this is a california honey cart. it was abt 1/4 full, i held the button a bit to warm it up, it started bubbling and all fell down out of the outer tube and starting bubbling up in the middle tube. when i took a hit a glob flew in my mouth. it was then clogged. what just happened? how can i stop it from clogging?
