Stalling problems

I purchased a 2013 ford fiesta ecoboost about a month ago and have stalled a couple of times. when trying to pulling away the car seems to struggle and judder even at an appropriate amount of revs and takes quite a while to build up enough speed to go up into second gear. I think i am doing everything correctly (getting the appropriate amount of revs and gently easing off the clutch) but still struggle to get going. is this an error on my part or an issue with the car itself?
