Is my Battery Fried?

I went to get in my car this morning and found my fob wouldn't unlock the car. Weird, but no biggie. I unlock the car manually and both my indicators come on and start making that pinging noise (hazard) and my car won't start. Brilliant. Also, once I'd given up and got out of the car and locked it, it continued making the hazard pinging noise for a good minute.
I'm thinking my battery is run down, could anyone more knowledgeable (which is pretty much anyone) give me their 2cents?
