Hi all, I drive an 03 Xterra, and my timing belt broke, and just about took the top end of the engine with it. I don't have a clear decision on my course of action. Should I basically rebuild what I have currently? Starter and water pump replacement as well as headers at minimum, and continuing from there depending on how bad it actually is. My mechanic said he can get a used engine and do the install for just about the same total cost. What course of action would you take? If this isn't the right sub, please let me know and I'll get it where it needs to be. Thanks.
