2019 Honda CRV stays in Aux mode until the battery drains after being “turned off”. The dealer initially replaced the BCM but that did not fix the problem. Then they replaced the shifter assembly but that did also not fix the problem. Over the past month they spent “22 hours” trying to find the problem and supposedly brought in a specialist and now they are saying they can’t fix it and to contact insurance if we have comprehensive coverage to see if they will cover the value of the care. Of course this care doesn’t have comprehensive coverage.
What should we do now? Take it to another dealer? Is this one going to expect us to pay for 22 hours of diagnostics? We have been in contact with Honda corporate but they have not been helpful.
