I always wondered what car guys thought of the "Walkable City" or "New Urbanism" movement that argues for a less car focused city planning style in favor of public transport and denser, more interlocked cities. I'd imagine many would be in favor of it, because it would take away all the people on the road who just see a car as an appliance like a refrigerator or washing machine and lead to less traffic so they could actually enjoy driving. Sorry if this is not relevant to the sub, was going to post in r/Cars but that got nuked.
