I drive an 07 Accord 4 cylinder. I let a friend borrow my car for a day. Told him it burns a little oil and was due to be topped off. He somehow ended up filling the oil to double capacity and I drove it that way for 2-3 weeks. The engine seemed to run fine with the extra oil, which is why it went unnoticed for so long. Yesterday I drained the oil to the appropriate level. The oil I drained looked normal. Still drives good. I haven’t done any hard driving recently but I am concerned about the damage that could’ve occurred. If the extra oil happened to get into the spark plugs, would I need to remove them to clean or replace? Are there any other components or seals I should check?
