I am currently in a dilemma on whether to book the Nexon Petrol AMT or the Nexon Diesel AMT. My requirements are below:

1) Safety is a must. No compromise on this one, hence finalized Nexon. Not considering any other cars. XUV 300 was out because of small Boot space and Brezza was out because of its engine 2) Good ground clearance needed as I would be driving on really bad roads in Bangalore 3) Sunroof is a must in the car as my 4 year old daughter loved it during the test drive 4) Only interested in an automatic transmission, as I will be driving in heavy bumper to bumper traffic. Don't mind even if it is an AMT as long as the driving experience is not bad 5) My daily running would be ~70 km per day. Hence Diesel AMT is also in my final list. Worried about future of Diesel cars though 6) Planning to book the Nexon XZA HS Petrol AMT which has almost all features. But for almost the same price I also see Nexon XM S Diesel AMT which has some important stuff missing like TPMS, only 4 speakers, automatic climate control etc 7) Not very keen on making any modifications in the car in the foreseeable future

I did a test drive of both and below are my observations:

1) Diesel engine is more refined and fun to drive as compared to petrol engine 2) The lag that people complain about in the Nexon AMT appears to be well controlled with the diesel engine under lower speeds. The petrol AMT does feel like something is holding it back just for fraction of a second before every time there is a gear shift. This is more prominent when gears shift from 1st to 2nd 3) For the price of XZA HS Petrol AMT, I am only getting a XM S Diesel AMT which significantly misses lot of features

I do not want to miss the features in the Petrol AMT variant but also do not want to let go the performance of the Diesel AMT. Stuck between choosing features vs performance. Dear owners of Nexon, please help me make a decision based on your experience with the Nexon AMT.
