Ordering a new car with long wait time

Post Body

I would like to buy the new Toyota Prado (250 LandCruiser) and the wait time is quoted at 18 months. I'm fine with that but there's a good chance that something else will catch my eye in the meantime (or my wife will give in and agree to a Defender). The local dealer tells me it's no problem to cancel the order with a small fee incurred but I'm wondering if there are a standard set of conditions for this in NSW? I found some info online about paying the lesser of $250 or some percentage of the agreed price but that seems to relate to financing where I will pay cash.
