Everyone should be aware that the good reputation Shannon’s had before it was acquired by Suncorp no-longer applies.
If you’re with Shannon’s be aware that any repairs you need post-claim will be shoved off to the worst high-volume low-quality panel beaters in your immediate area and it’ll be on you to complain to them when the repairs they do are poor.
Yes, lifetime warranty on repairs still exists but you’ll be sitting on hold for hours after the beater they recommend doesn’t know how to spray a panel. You’ll be asked to argue with someone who couldn’t care less for hours on end.
Shannon’s recommended repairers are obviously dodgy because all one needs to do is look at the reviews of the workshops they recommend.
Might as well go with any other insurer and pay half. I can’t believe Suncorp would do this to Shannon’s. It’s only a matter of time before the brand folds altogether with the way they’re running it.
