Billing for your work and getting paid for your time

I just wanted to ask because I’ve seen some crazy numbers both high and low for doing finish work. So I wanted to get a idea of the different rates going on around the world. How do you bill for your finish work? For example, how would you bill providing new windowsills, and moldings around the window , or how would you bill removing slide glass doos and trimming the opening?
