New carpenter in the field could use some advice
Post Body

I’m 18 years old, Hispanic, bilingual, went to a trade school instead of high school and graduated under the carpenter program. I have a year’s of experience now in the actual field.

During my senior year I was a helper/assistant in a cabinet making place job. Still work there right now but I’m thinking of going to a new job very soon. Just wanna do something new and been told I should get out if I wanna make it big.

I live in the Baltimore area but I’m thinking of looking around the DMV or Philly area, are those places better or have more opportunities than the Baltimore area? I’m thinking of doing 3 things specifically, going back to framing like I did back when I was in trade school, decking, or something like helping installing stuff like cabinets, countertops, window stills, etc.
