One year today, Biden was elected President and the stress levels of millions (if not billions around the world) went way down.
Today, Georgia may impanel a grand jury to investigate Trump's conduct in trying to thwart the election in Georgia.

"The Georgia inquiry is one of two criminal investigations involving Mr. Trump and his circle; the other is an ongoing investigation of Trump financial dealings by the Manhattan DA. Investigators from the Fulton County, GA, DA’s office have been consulting with the Congressional committee investigating the Jan 6 attacks and may make use of their evidence.A recent 114-page, bipartisan Brookings Institute analysis of the GA investigation found that Trump’s conduct “leaves him at substantial risk of possible state charges predicated on multiple crimes.”
Those crimes cited by Brookings include: “criminal solicitation to commit election fraud; intentional interference with performance of election duties; conspiracy to commit election fraud; criminal solicitation; and state RICO violations.”
Fani Willis, a Democrat who is DA of Fulton County, has already told the NYT that racketeering is among the charges that will be weighed. “If you have various overt acts for an illegal purpose, I think you can — you may — get there,” she said earlier this year. Earlier this year, an aide to Trump called the inquiry “the Democrats’ latest attempt to score political points by continuing their witch hunt against President Trump."
Former President Trump may not have helped himself at a recent GA rally, when he detailed how he urged GA’s governor to intercede on his behalf after the 2020 election. (Norm Elsen: “I think he worsened his exposure with those comments.")
Racketeering would potentially mean a lot more people go down with Trump. Here's hoping Senator Graham gets charged, the weasel him. Ditto Mark Meadows.
A sad reminder, "may" is not "has already" or "already charged." But it's a nice lick of hope. I just wish there were already a federal case out on Trump. Congress is investigating January 6th but they have no power to do criminal charges, just impeach. However, what they gather can be used for criminal cases both state and federal.
