Just a friendly reminder, please be respectful to the crew members. I was recently on the Carnival Liberty and was honestly shocked at how poorly some members were treated. These folks are away from their families for sometimes months on end and are doing their best. Some of the entitlement I saw from cruisers and how they treated the staff as 'beneath' them was disheartening.
Of course you did. I never said you didn't, Karen.
Yes because you didn't just answer OP with something like " You're exactly right". You made it about how it was their choice to work there. Although you didn't come out and say it, whenever someone pulls out the " It's their choice to work there" argument it's usually because they feel entitled. Maybe that's not you but that's exactly how you came off.

OP didn't ask anyone to feel sorry for them because they "chose" this job. Just asked for people to treat them respectfully.
They can't brush off a bad day by going home and enjoying their family. They can't tell you to "F-off" and quit right then. No they gotta stay on the boat.
You seem like the kind of person OP is talking about.
