Day 2 and have not met my steward

Currently on Carnival Radiance and steward is a ghost. Do we even have one? Last Carnival cruise was 2016. Is this the new normal? On another line a couple months ago I was casual friends with my steward by the end.

Edit: never met him. I did ask every steward I met in the hall if they were my steward and they all said no

Panorama December 2022, our steward was ever present, engaging and friendly.

Horizon December 2023, our steward said hello at embarkation, but was a ghost the rest of the cruise.

In both cases, our room was always well taken care of.
