Booked for Queen bed, got a single twin. What should I do?

Post Body

I’ll keep this brief. I’m onboard a carnival ship currently, and when my wife and I arrived at the room today there was only one twin bed. I know we selected Queen when we booked, and guest services confirmed we had selected Queen, but the room we are in only has a twin and a pull down bunk bed twin. Naturally we would like to have a bed we can share. Guest services is saying “sorry, nothing we can do”. We have cruised carnival 5 times in the last two years, and are long term fans. We know what it’s like for the workers, and are being compassionate in the situation because they want to help but really don’t know what to do.

Is this something I should escalate? Or get reimbursed somehow? We aren’t upset really just feel we should have gotten a queen bed when that’s what we reserved.

Edit: Yes, I actually mean “King”. Wife and I always say Queen lol but yes it’s King bed I mean. Sorry for the confusion.
