My sister insisted she was in charge when I moved but when Grandma got sick and needed to be put on hospice who do you think had to make that decision and sign consents? Me. Her legal power of Attorney. The hospice never called and updated so I called every day. Today I called and was told she discharged. I started yelling how can you do that I’m POA. Wouldn’t give me info just told me to stop yelling at her. I texted my sister made a few other calls to find out my sister revoked hospice moved her to another facility and put her on a different hospice. My sister finally responded since I wasn’t bothering to come until her funeral she was to busy to update me .(mind you I flew in last weekend to see her and was told on Tuesday she had hours to live so I couldn’t take the time off work to fly back again). I’m so livid that the hospice did this and will be reporting them to the state and also my sister who did this. I’m afraid grandma will die and I won’t be notified for days. I was her live in caregiver for 4 years without any help. I moved after my mom and boyfriend died and it got to be to much and I put her in assisted living.
