any way to "mask off" areas i don't want resin to adhere?

doing a bit of carbon skinning on a small project and there is an area I'd like to avoid skinning and i was wondering if anyone knew of a tape or something i could use to mask that area to keep resin from sticking? I was thinking possibly tyvek tape but any and all ideas are welcome.
