I bought a sonata in September of 2023 and has since been uninsured, I’m trying to get insurance now or rather have decided to finally do it, I’m not from the states and quite literally have been so legally dumb that I didn’t realize it was illegal to such a big scale. What do I say to the insurance guys when they ask why I didn’t have insurance? Or rather what exactly do I do? I keep reading a lapse is also a big deal? and it’s a huge huge lapse, I’m a first time car owner, please help, thank you
