Glass moving around in rear door of hatchback

Post Body

I have a BMW 1 series and the rear windscreen was smashed by some low life. I got it replaced but I can hear bits of glass moving around when I lift the boot and close it. Sounds like quite a bit.

I asked the guy why it was like that and he said it's because bits of glass had gone inside and he couldn't get it out (I did see him shaking the boot and closing it a few times once he got the broken windscreen off). He said no glass will come out and they eventually will get lodged in a corner. Been a week and the glass can still be heard moving around.

Is this normal? I was hoping to seel the car soon but this will definitely be an issue if still like this when I come to sell
