2015 Mitsubishi mirage, idles but won’t accelerate.

The gas pedal will get it to 1.3 rpm, but than stops going higher and feels like there’s nothing else to give and it won’t accelerate.
It reverses in the same way, but the car shakes when I do.
I tried this for a small amount of time, and than had it towed home.
*It would also not engage the starter at all and some lights like the brake light would come on even though it was fully down.
