hello
First off I'm broke and while I'm asking for advice on doing this I just need to get through the week of some Doordashing so I can take the car and get a full repair done.
2012 Buick Verano. This brake issue is frustrating. Had since new. 5 years ago the rear caliper on the passenger side seized. Dealership gave me fresh rotor, calipers, and pads under warranty. Now the replaced driver's side caliper is fried. with approximately 35k on the new brakes. Dealership won't do anything obviously.
I'm having a terrible year financially. The same repair will be approximately $650 to $700. I'm not completely idiotic when it comes to repairs and I found a YT video doing a rear brake change on the car. Instead of fixing it. Can I just pull the pads? The car is making a horrible grinding noise no matter what I do. I literally just need to get thorough this week and I can take the car into my friends shops and he'll do the repair. I just don't have the funds currently. I'd use it to DD to make the funds up.
