My trunk is stuck!
Post Body

So I have a 2005 Chevy Cobolt. I’ve had this car for about 8 or 9 years now (used of course.) and my battery went dead on it. So we’ve been trying to open to trunk using the button in the car. Along with trying to use my key to open the trunk (key will go in but not turn.) is there another way into the trunk? I know the backseats come down but the release is in the trunk itself so no way to access those.

Along with they Key issues we believe that it’s not the factory key that came with that specific car (we think there mayve been an issue at the used car lot where keys got mixed up.) but other then that we don’t know why it won’t work specifically on the trunk despite it working on the doors and ignition of the car. If y’all could help I would greatly appreciate it.

Edit: The issue has now been resolved. If you have a set of Jumper Cables there is a red cap on the fuse box under the hood. (Drivers side close to the window) the post in the fuse box is your positive. Then there are three bolts that are closer to the window in the very top right (if standing at the front of the car.) of the hood area for you to run the ground. Once you jump that it should restore the power to the car. Then you’re free to open the trunk with the button. At least this is how my adventure ended. Thank y’all for her help regardless.
