Post Body

My wife’s 2010 Navigator L with about 220,000 miles on it, has started having some strange electrical issues. The battery warning light is always on in the message display, but the alternator charges just fine. I have measured voltage with a meter and used the battery / alternator test function on my OBD scanner with all indicating the alternator is charging properly. Intermittently she will also have the wrench icon display in the message center and states it feels like the truck looses power (maybe going into limp mode?). I have not experienced this but she has it happen fairly regularly (I rarely drive the truck). I am going to start chasing down ground connections as I’ve always thought weird electrical issues are ground related but was hoping for some suggestions on where else to look / what to test? Could the alternator still be charging but doing some other weird stuff to cause this at the same time? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
