2022 Ford Edge with transmission problems… any advice?

My ford edge recently started hitching forward/ stuttering as I got between 25-35 mph. Eventually catches and is completely tine above and below these numbers. Took it to a transmission shop that is charging $700 for a diagnosis. Is that standard? Also looking for some advice on what the issue could maybe be or if there's a price point i should expect to pay for said issue. Any advice helps. Thank you.
