All,

I'm buying a navigation and audio screen for my daughter's 2012 Subary Legacy. Of course, there are a dizzying array of choices. She's not an audiophile by any means, and this would be chiefly to help with playing tunes as she drives and navigation (through carplay / maps). She uses iPhone.

It's been years since I looked into this, but Sony and Pioneer are the old names I remember. Crutchfield is recommending mostly Boss and Jensen, the latter of which did not have a great rep when I was younger IIRC.

Thoughts / recs? I'm looking around $400 or less (plus more for install as needed at Bestbuy or other place).
