I feel I'm well read in a variety of economic and political ideologies ranging from Hayek, Paterson, and Goldwater to Marx, Kropotkin, and Goldberg.
From my impression writers who advocate for more market based systems have voices that are much more positive and grounded in how things are. For example, in Human Action, Mises discusses how all economic activity boils down to individuals and their interactions with other individuals, and when said individuals are left to themselves, to do for themselves, that the world is a prosperous place.
On the other hand. I was reading a collection of essays of Kropotkin and in his one essay he was giving advice to young people as to what to do with their respective lives and it was quite negative. He suggested that youre essentially a bad person if you arent actively destroying the capitalist system. (He was very critical of those who wanted to become lawyers since a major basis of the law is to uphold property rights and the such).
Then you have Marx and his general idea of Communism as an alternative to the system he was in Europe during his time, that has never been fully implemented or ever realized.
Just some general thoughts of mine I feel could be worth discussing.
Thank You.
