what happens when you can no longer trade freely or own companies in South Africa? Since you’ll be viewed as a foreigner, the economic policies can turn against your own interests. So what’s the next move?
when you look at the Cape it can be similar to Italy, an aging population and low birth rates, which is facing an unsustainable economic model ahead. Who are your most suited trading partners? is this a ploy to be positioned like Israel except for the fact that America doesnt need a friend in Africa? the oil that wont belong to you but surrounds you? the lack of influence in the rest of South Africa….
The land ownership issue, all that land becomes foreign owned and you wont have influence on land policy, in a multilateral world that we have become since covid, South Africa wont face punishment or isolation like Zimbabwe has.
shrug. I'm interested. Please no answers based on prejudice, I really want a practical/rational perspective
