Questions about my speed light on R6

I just got into using the R6 and I’m loving it! I’m having an issue with my canon 430-exii (or maybe a perceived issue but just user error)

While on my mkiii body, the 430exii emits a red light beam “focus assist” in dark scenarios. While on my R6, the 430 doesn’t emit this same red beam for focusing assist.

Anyone familiar with the proper menu setup so that the flash can help the R6 with focusing in dark situations? OR is this not necessary for the mirrorless bodies?

Haven’t been able to find a concrete answer on this yet.
