Is 1oz of flower enough to wash before a rosin press? What’s your minimum?

Post Body

I’m a home grower with a rosin press. I’ve been pressing dried flower and trim for some time with great return. However, I’m ready to start pressing from bubble hash, and wondering if 1oz of flower is enough to wash and worth the effort or if I should do more? What’s your minimum to wash for extracting? I harvest only about 8-10 ounces per month and my personal habit is about 4 ounces per month. I like to shut down my grow in the summer. So it’s important I keep a steady reserve supply, which is why I’m wanting to ease into washing. Tia

Thank you. I do grow really frosty nug. I get decent 20% return on my dried material on my rosin press, typically. Just want to take the next step. I’m not weed rich enough to run 10 ounces at the moment, but it sure does sound worth it. Maybe I’ll keep my room up a little longer so I can harvest a little more before I shut it down. I really appreciate the insight. You’ve given me numbers I can work with. I will be buying one of the washing machines.

That’s not too bad. I’ll watch some videos. Thanks :)

That’s not a bad idea either. I could see myself storing an ounce or two per harvest in the freezer and waiting until I have enough to wash. Then just getting to it when I have enough. Thanks.

How much time do you estimate is involved with manually turning a bucket? Just curious. The thought has crossed my mind.

I have not.
