So I’m looking to start on making my own THC pens cuz I feel like it’ll be cheaper, I’ve came across a method using BHO (butane hash oil). I understand that this is a rather dangerous method, however i feel given a proper environment would eliminate a lot of possibilities, however moving on

When starting off I’ve read you’re supposed to make shatter, and to do that you need to fill the bud in a extractor, then saturate the bud with butane by spraying it into the “through the top hole until the canister is empty”. After doing this it’s supposed to be a “green-gray-brown oil” that’s dripping out? After this you evaporate it by using a double boiler and on an electric range? So i guess an electric boiler? So it says doing this it removes the butane, then you can use a pressurized vacuum pump to remove any further butane, leaving you with shatter, then it’s just scrap the wax off the plate.

I understand the danger factor in doing this with the butane and possible fires and/or explosions, so what would be the best place to do it? I’d say outdoors but I don’t know how that’ll affect it, and is smoking this stuff actually going to be safe and not kill me as long as I do it right and get me high? Any other methods, tips, or suggestions is appreciated.
