Homemade glass hard candy, now can it be soft?
Post Body
HELP PLZ. I just made some homemade “glass” hard candy. Sugar, flavor, cornstarch, water. Boil to 300°F (Hard Crack) then remove from heat and put into baking sheet to cool. Now my question is, is it possible to use this recipe but have the candy be malleable? Like how the hard candy is when it’s nice and warm before it cools. If I was to only boil it to say 200ish or the “Soft crack” level or something to keep it from fully hardening during and after cooling would the result be a softer candy?
