I understand that peanuts and certain other foods can have a heavy presence of mold and hypothetically that can build up in your system. I've heard some people equate cashews as essentially being a mold, but a quick search on the basics of the plant didn't yield much information to that effect.
Within the Candida information world there seems to be a lot of hearsay mixed in with fact. Everyone seems to add their personal opinion, whether they had a particular food sensitivity or allergy themselves, into their presentation of the science behind foods to eat and avoid. IMO it's this mixing of opinion and fact that does an overall disservice to the folks who actually have a problem and need to sort it out, only to come to a lot of confusing cul-de-sacs when the experts disagree.
Can anyone tell me the science behind the avoidance of cashews while on an anti candida diet?
