Hey there, long story short I have been dealing with a fungal overgrowth inside of my body for 4 years and only recently really started to treat it myself due to PCP not understanding what to do. Contracted Covid RIGHT before the U.S. declared a pandemic and ever since then it’s been a literal living nightmare. Worst symptoms: unable to articulate, extreme fatigue, blurry vision, mood & personality changes, disorientation & anxiety, depression & a deep sadness that I still am coping through, sharp decline in testosterone level that I now have to do injections for (although since starting treating this myself I’ve went from needing .4 down to .2), physically feeling this organism growing into the deepest parts of my body (especially directly behind my face & in my intestines). I’ve always known this was fungal of some sort. I seen an allergist, I’m only slightly allergic to mold/fungi.
It had gotten so bad that this past December it was literally growing out of my mouth. Forced my primary to do some cultures and sure enough a rare yeast, rare staph, AND rare strep infection! It was literally grown through my tissues to the outside of my skin especially on my face. Kept trying fluconazole but only slightly helped symptoms not the cause. Finally after having a breakdown and coming to terms with the fact that my dr wasn’t going to help me (actually she legit started telling me I was crazy and delusional and it’s just projection), I educated myself on candida overgrowths and started fighting back HARD!
Complete lifestyle changes. Jogging 2-3 miles a day. Drinking at least 64-120oz of water per day. Then started some simple protocols like an actual good probiotic and NOW-candida support supplement. That seemed to get rid of about half of it. Now I am taking NAC , refrigerated probiotics, florarestor, mushroom complex(very small dose), nystatin (which I had to order from Germany cuz again the dr still is saying I’m fine), and some liver detox supplement, obviously not taking these all at once but throughout the day and MY GOD has it turned me around. At least enough to get a grip on myself mentally and physically so I’m able to function.
Now I believe I’m very close to getting through most of the biofilm and down to the organism itself because of all the drainage and cracking/popping sounds (breaking through the crystalline barrier it forms to protect itself). This stuff has absolutely anchored. Now it feels like a game of tug of war between the back of my face and my colon. Only started taking the nystatin tablets about 3 weeks ago now (2 tablets twice a day) and it definitely is helping.
Just it seems like this is all taking an agonizingly slow time to kill. Anyone have any advice tips tricks pointers anything to help rid myself of this actual LITERAL hell? I understand that it went untreated for about 4 years but I’ve been treating this since late December…
