I previously had thrush in 2021 after a bout with gastritis and prolonged ppi use. I was prescribed the liquid nystatin, took it for two weeks and got better with that and the diet.
This time I was taking NAC to try and shrink a certain type of ovarian cyst I have. I stopped NAC because it gave me tonsil stones. I was also eating very highly probiotic foods and occasionally taking S Boullardi. Stopped all of that too and ended up with thrush a week later.
I went back to liquid Nystatin and I think it’s resolved my thrush a bit, but I’ve been constipated for the past 5 days (and on it for 8 days).
Here’s what I’ve gathered so far as helping to fight constipation from researching here and on discord: - Psyllium husk - Colon cleanse - Anaerobic exercise (squats, etc.) - Walking - Using a stool while trying to go - Magneisum Citrate - Ginger tea - Combo of: cayenne ACV lemon - Miralax - Lactulose (prescription)
I tried Psyllium husk at 1 teaspoon w/ 8oz of water, followed by another 8oz and nothing so far.
I tried Ginger tea for the last three days, nothing from that either.
I just tried Miralax today - nothing yet.
Someone please help - I’m feeling very down in this battle compared to the first time. I know I’m expecting quick results, so I’m going to adjust my expectations but wondering if I’m getting my dosages and timing all wrong of the stool softeners, fiber, etc.
