What to expect when we switch to giving her morphine?
Post Body

My mum has stage 4 lung cancer. Her health worsened rapidly after we got a feeding tube inserted to her stomach (her oesophagus closed from the tumors). For the last three months, her pain has been worsening. It's still managed by tramadol and paracetamol but the time between doses is getting shorter and she's asking for morphine so we got it now.

Unfortunately we live in a developing country and the level of medical care and support is deplorable. We could get morphine tablets but the doctors have told us basically nothing about what to expect from this new pain mgmt system. Any advice is appreciated.
